Non-Solicitation Yard Signs

As many of you know, there has been a rash of solicitors in our area.

WHHA is offering No Soliciting yard signs and/or decals for our members. These signs meet City of Dallas requirements for No Soliciting signs. The yard signs are $7.00 and the decals for $1.00. Send an email to crimewatch@whha75229.net if you'd like either a decal or yard sign.

PLEASE BE AWARE!

The following was sent by a very worried parent. Another similar incident reported on Northaven. Although nothing happened this was a very scary situation for our neighborhood. Both of the incidents occurred late afternoon March 22, 2012. Full details have just been received. One could only assume and hope the guy is long gone. At this time this is sent to you for your information. Please continue to call 9-1-1 on any suspicious persons.

"Our Daughter was walking east down our street (Townsend Dr.) and a black man in a tan Mazda's truck drove by her going very slowly the other direction towards Marsh. He attempted to get her attention by smiling and waving. As she neared the corner and turned on to Cox, she saw him pass her again. He had turned around on Townsend and was now heading her direction. Both times, he attempted to get her attention, and she turned away. He then proceeded to turn right (east) onto Northaven. She turned and ran down the alley towards our home and was coming up between two houses that don't have fences. As she walked through, coming up to Townsend, she then realized he was driving down Townsend towards the house she was at. She turned around and sprinted over to Jubliee Trail and was able to get some assistance from a good Samaritan. She called the police and reported the incident. He was heavy set, mid fifties and bald. He looked very out of place and she said he had a sketchy face."
