In the past few years, your dues to the Homeowners' Association and Crime Watch have paid for the following:
  • Our annual Fourth of July Parade and Picnic
  • History of our neighborhood celebration
  • National Night Out for Crime expenses reimbursed to neighbors holding Block Parties
  • Neighborhood website design, hosting and technical support
  • Donation for playground equipment at Peter Pan Park
  • Donation of hams and desserts to our firemen at Fire Station #35 on Thanksgiving and Christmas for hosting our Volunteers In Patrol equipment
  • New Crime Alert signs placed around our neighborhood
  • Newsletter printing expenses
  • Jackets, T-shirts and hats for the VIP patrollers

Enhanced Neighborhood Patrol

In our first year of using paid off-duty police to patrol our neighborhood non-violent crime was reduced 20% from the previous year. Violent crime was reduced by 50%.

ENP Officer Activities:
  • Fifteen different officers patrolled 58% of the days
  • Patrolled approximately 830 hours typically in four hour intervals
  • Patrolled approximately 9,000 miles on all streets, neighborhood parks and alleys
  • Special patrol of residents when homeowners were out-of-town
  • Responded to phone call requests from ENP members
  • Attended all VIP meetings
  • Attended WHHA events, i.e., 4th of July Picnic and National Night Out


  • All this for approximately $3000 per month.
    Subscribers to the ENP receive the cell phone number of the patrol officers.
